The Down & Dirty Truth

Everyone falls in love with my scale.  Hard to believe, huh?  We usually hate that monster that groans and creeks when we step up on it and that dreaded number pops up and automatically we start to mutter those words of disgust, words of un-truth, words that justify why it is what it is.  I have been there.  You have too.  So then why do people fall in love with MY scale?  Let me tell you a little bit about her.

She is a Bio Metric Body Fat Analyzer.  Model number 300-A to be exact.  She is very cool looking and can weigh up to over 400 pounds accurately.  She also gives you a gift after weighing you.  She gives you a tape.  Ahhhhhh the coveted tape.  The tape that people can't wait to get again week after week of weighing to see what she has to say this week.  Here is what she gives you:

Your Body Type (always standard unless you are a wrestler or pro athlete)
Age (we believe whatever you tell us!)
Height  (you also tell us that)
Weight in pounds (I feel cringing coming on)
BMI (Body Mass Index)
Fat % (what % of your weight is pure body fat)
BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate **key to your success in any weight loss)
Impedence (where majority of your fat is stored)
Fat Mass (how many pounds of your body weight is all fat weight......I told you down & dirty!)
FFM (Fat Free Mass **tissue, muscles, bones, organs, etc)
TBW (Total Body Water **great indicator if you are hydrated enough or not...most likely your not!)
And then it gives us your "Healthy Range"  What Fat % and what Fat Mass amount is a healthy range for your unique body
We set a Target Body Fat % for you to aim for
Predicted weight you will be when you reach your goal
And the most important number on the tape:  Not how much weight you need to lose but HOW MUCH FAT  YOU NEED TO LOSE!

It's all about your health.  You learn to target body fat instead of weight and you gain muscle which makes you smaller and healthier!  I can't wait for you to meet my scale.  She will change your life.  She will make you care about your body.  You only have one.....you really should take as good of care of it as you do your car or house.  You can replace them!
